Mr Danny Morrison - BSc (Hons), MBChB, FRCOphth (London), MD.
Mr Danny Morrison is a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon at Guy's and St. Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust, and at the recently opened Evelina Children's Hospital, London.
Mr Morrison trained in Sheffield, Brighton, Leicester, Edinburgh and London. He was a senior specialist registrar at Moorfields Eye Hospital, London, where he also undertook advanced training as a Fellow in ophthalmic plastic surgery. This was followed by a fellowship in paediatric ophthalmology at Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital and King's College Hospital, London. Mr Morrison did research for the Department of Health on a major study into congenital eye malformations, and wrote his MD thesis with the University of Edinburgh.
Mr Morrison has particular expertise in paediatric ophthalmology, squints (strabismus), and ophthalmic plastic surgery including ptosis and blepharoplasty. He is trained in the assessment of all aspects of general ophthalmology, including cataracts and glaucoma. Mr Morrison is a member of The American Academy of Ophthalmology and is a medical advisor to The Eyeless Trust, a charity that supports children born with severe congenital eye abnormalities. He has many publications and international presentations in paediatric ophthalmology, oculoplastics and ocular genetics.
Mr Morrison can be consulted at St. Thomas' Hospital or Harley Street. Flexible times are possible for babies and children. Mr Morrison is registered with all the major private healthcare providers. He has admitting rights at St Thomas' Hospital, The Wellington Hospital and The Portland Hospital.
