Johnathan Hubbard MD, FRCS (Gen), EBQ Endocrine surg
I graduated from the University of Newcastle in 1991. My Higher Surgical training and Research was undertaken in Newcastle, prior to an Endocrine surgical fellowship at the CHU La Timone Hospital in Marseille, France in 2001- 2002. I have been in the post of Consultant Endocrine Surgeon at Guys and St Thomas' Hospitals since January 2003.
I am an active member of the International Association of Endocrine Surgeons, The European Society of Endocrine surgeons, L'Association Francophone de Chirurgie Endocrinienne, and the British Association of Thyroid and Endocrine Surgery. I am currently co-editing a textbook on Endocrine Surgery.
My interests include:
Thyroid Surgery: The Assessment of the Thyroid nodule including FNA, Thyroid Surgery for Benign Goitres and Graves Disease, Thyroid Cancer surgery.
Parathyroid Surgery: Minimally Invasive Parathyroid Surgery.
Adrenal Surgery: Open and Laparoscopic Adrenalectomy.
