Mr Kumar Kunde - MD MRCOG

Mr Kunde is a consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital which is a premier teaching institution in central London. He has over 20 years of experience in obstetrics and gynaecology and is known for his sensitive and non-judgemental approach to patient care.
Mr Kunde has undergone specialised training at highly commended maternity units in Manchester and London. Therefore he has the expertise to provide care in normal pregnancies as well pregnancies with medical problems where specialised care is necessary. He is a member of the high risk pregnancy team at St Thomas’ hospital and fully supports normal birth. His many years of experience gives him a greater insight into the care which pregnant women need. Mr Kunde works very closely with experienced colleagues in other specialities which makes it possible for him to provide a truly multidisciplinary care in high risk pregnancies.
Mr Kunde provides pregnancy care and delivers his patients in the Lansdell Suite at St Thomas’ Hospital and at The Portland Hospital. Thus women have a choice of two excellent maternity units to choose from depending on their needs and preferences. He is also able to offer appointments at The London Bridge Hospital, The Blackheath Hospital and The Lister Hospital if it is more convenient for his patients to attend these hospitals for their pregnancy checks. His experience in pelvic floor surgery gives him an insight into the care of pelvic floor during pregnancy and delivery. He specialises in the care of pregnancies after miscarriage, pregnancies with fibroids and pregnancies after fertility treatment including twin pregnancies.
His expertise in medical treatment of gynaecological conditions and his extensive training in keyhole surgery in the UK and USA have enabled him to treat many gynaecological conditions either medically or using keyhole surgical techniques thus helping his patients to recover and return to normal activities quickly. He performs advanced keyhole procedures and has special skills in the surgical treatment of fibroids(myomectomy) and endometriosis which allow patients to go home the same day.
He also offers consultations and treatment to couples with subfertility.
