Dr Nicholas Padfield - MBBS, FRCA
Nicolas Padfield is a consultant in Pain medicine at Guys' & St Thomas'
Foundation Trust. His interests include treatments for neuropathic pain,
Complex regional pain syndromes, and many other types of pain problems. He
works in a multidisciplinary team and undertakes all of the most up to date
validated pain interventions including spinal cord stimulation, peripheral
nerve stimulation, radiofrequency facet joint denervations and pulsed
radiofrequency treatments. As an NHS consultant he has yearly job appraisals
and takes an active role in the department organizing Symposia, teaching,
audit and administration.
He has published 3 books including the 'Pain Medicine Manual' which was given the 'Highly Commended' BMA Prize. He is married with 2 children.
I consult at the London Bridge hospital and the (new) Westminster bridge consulting rooms and if needs must I can see people at 30 Devonshire place. I consult on Wednesdays and I do procedures on Tuesday but can arrange to see patients or treat them on Fridays as the need arises (though I normally keep Fridays free for office work and writing Medico-legal reports.)
