Mr Daniel Walsh FRCS Neurosurg
Consultant Neurosurgeon
Daniel Walsh qualified as a doctor from th Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 1993. His basic surgical training took place in Dublin and London. Thereafter his advanced Neurosurgical training was completed at the Institute for Neurological Sciences in Glasgow. He underwent specialist Fellowship training in Neurovascular Surgery under Professor Michael Morgan in Sydney Australia.
Mr Walsh's areas of particular interest are cerebral aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations of the brain and spinal cord, cerebral revascularisation and stroke prevention, ELANA (Excimer Laser Assisted Non Occlusive Anastomosis), Moyamoya disease, general neurosurgery including tumours of the brain and spine and degenerative spinal disease.
He currently chairs the department Morbidity and Mortality meeting at the department of neurosurgery, King's College Hospital. He is departmental lead for surgical training and is a member of the South Thames Neurosurgical Training Committee.
